Liberation House has provided residential care in Stamford for over thirty years. Men, 18 and older, complete a rigorous program of rehabilitation to learn the skills to lead sober lives. Clients join 12-step recovery programs, reunite with their families, attain employment, resolve legal issues and give back to the community through volunteer work. Our men graduate with plans for continued treatment, employment and housing.

FIRP (Families In Recovery) is very different from most treatment services for women. FIRP makes it possible for women and their children to live together as a family in our residence while Mom receives treatment. Pregnant women also live and receive treatment at FIRP, and are able to deliver babies free of addiction. Mothers who have lost custody of their children enter FIRP and after months of hard work are able to reunite with their children.
